about:
The Long Form is an online mentorship studio designed for artists and writers seeking MFA-level feedback and rigorous discourse around their work—to help them evolve as artists and deepen their voice.
It is a studio for those who are hungry for dynamic dialogue around art-making, and who seek places and opportunities to experiment, take risks, and challenge the “rules” of art-making to break conditioned molds.
My aim is to help you develop the body of work that’s in you, tap into your authentic voice, and learn to quiet the voices and forces that hinder your creativity. There is a fundamental part of you that wants to create and yearns to express itself. At The Long Form, I aim to help you discover new methods that renew your curiosity, so you can immerse yourself in your process and rely on your intuition to guide your next steps.
The Long Form is also for artists and writers who feel stuck in their work, but know deep down that there is a part of them that continuously yearns to keep creating. Through one-on-one mentorship, we explore how to build an intimate relationship with your work and how to stay connected to your creative process despite confusion, self-doubt, and life’s roadblocks.
It is a space for companionship in the often solitary process of becoming an artist—a place where your work can be met with rigor, curiosity, generosity, and serious attention.
Art-making is so much about playing the long game. The Long Form’s mission is to help you build an unshakable, centered relationship with your work—one that can stay with you until you’re in your 90s.
